Undergraduate Program
The Department of Psychology offers majors in General Psychology and Applied Psychology, as well as a minor in Psychology. This guide is designed to answer many questions that students have while studying psychology at UIC. This guide provides information which may make it easier to become and to remain a psychology major. Information in this guide along with the webpages include where to get advice, departmental policies and procedures, faculty, special functions and offices, and the course schedule for the year. On questions of requirements or policy, the UIC Undergraduate Catalog is the official document. All psychology majors' and minors' netids are added to a mailing list every semester. If you declare a major or minor in the middle of the semester, be sure to give the advisor your netid so you may receive periodical emails from the advisors and the Director of Undergraduate Studies.
